Golden Acre Park to Harewood (North Leeds) (5 miles) - Saturday 20th January 2018

Introduction

For another walking challenge to to pursue my #Walk1000Miles in 2018 I've decided to do the Leeds Country Way in a clockwise direction starting and finishing at Golden Acre Park.

Stunning countryside surrounding Leeds!

The Leeds Country Way is a 62 mile (100 km) circular path which takes in the countryside surrounding Leeds.  Leeds is blessed for its green space and quaint villages and doing the walk will enable me to see why!

Debut Walk!

For my first walk I've got the X84 bus from Leeds Bus Station and alighted at Golden Acre Park.  I picked up the trail and walked through the length of the park until I exited it.  I continued through fields, country roads and woodlands.

It was a lovely day with sunny blue skies.  I eventually entered Harewood Estate with its woodlands, beautifully landscaped, with the House in the distance.  I finished the walk at Lofthouse Gates and not long after I caught the 36 bus back to the city centre.
